We were delighted with the chance to revitalise a glorious, 800 square metre heritage building on Lygon Street, Brunswick East.

Long serving the community as a bank, the new premises was redesigned by Ewert Leaf as an exciting new hospitality venue that serves the vibrant inner north community, acting as a gastropub, bar, function centre and meeting point for locals.

Three internal dining spaces were created, with a large beer hall, a 380 square meter extension at the rear. On the second level, a functional office space and intimate dining and function area was constructed.

This incredible refit had a four month build time and was a 1.8 million dollar project. It’s been fantastic to be able to breathe new life into a stunning old building that will go on to be a focal point for the community for years to come.
